Description: Cooking cedar for the oven or on the barbecue. Cooking on a soaked plank gives fish, beef, pork and poultry the authentic flavor of camp cooking. Cedar product of BC Sustainable Forest Initiative Certified.
Preparing: Fits a large standard cookie sheet for easy soaking. Remove from plastic wrap and soak for 30 – 60 minutes before cooking. Oven-cooking uses steam not smoke so plank can be washed and reused. Allow to smoke on barbeque and use a spray bottle to dowse any flare-ups – before disposing of burned planks thoroughly dowse burning embers and cool to eliminate fire hazard.
